to chase dracula and find him and bring him back to his real planet of Drakulon. His native planet is not Earth. But a few comics books after (years later) they change the myth and made him an earth born being. He was never born on earth but on Drakulon! Anyway Vampirella considered this mission sacred. So, she isn't far from being a priestess anyhow. I think she was. She took very seriously this mission, to make sure no one on earth could get hurt, by Dracula's doing. She even did felt guilty! Even though she didn't do anything to earthlings, maybe she was in charge of surveillance on Drakulon and anyone who were capable of leaving was because she didn't kept a good watch over the worm holes and transdimensional portals she was supposed to. She perhaps felt bad because of this.
So her mission is protection but at a price! She had to feed right? Then she did took blood from the bad elements of society; the criminals. But her action isn't right and to feed on the bad seed of our planet is not a good gesture simply because many criminals do have a right to repent and to become eventually, good. Vampirella without discrimination, takes that right away from them. I agree some criminals have it coming, but many didn't deserve the fate Vampirella game them.
